Ford unveiled its first all electric SUV

Ford the American motor company after trying and failing to generate interest in utilitarian electric vehicles unveiled its first all electric SUV "Mustang Mach E".

The company is using the high performance image of its Mustang muscle cars to sell its SUV.

Features

• There will be three versions: Select, Premium, and First Edition.

• Ford is aiming for 370 km of driving range per charge for standard models and 482 km for "extended range" models 

• The rival Tesla Model Y sport utility has a 482 km range for rear-drive models, and 450 for all-wheel drive and performance models.

• The standard Mach E's time from 0 to 96 km per hour is faster than the latest Porsche Macan sport utility, according to Ford.

• Ford will offer a 15.5 inch screen in the Mach E. The Tesla Model 3 offers a 15 inch screen.

• At last everyone wants to know the cost and Ford says the Mach E will start at about $43000 (30 lacs approx).
